#HotMessMomsClub - Using Facebook Live

I LOVE Facebook Live! It is so useful for my coaching group, and I found another great way to use it! It can help me share things that are going on with family who are not nearby able to attend their sporting events or things at school.  I constantly get requests for videos and photos and I'll take them at the moment when we're at an event but I'll get distracted and I won't send them. Then they'll be texting me asking "Where are my pictures?," "Did you take a video?" And I am over here like "uhhh...oh my gosh sorry I forgot!" #hotmessmom

But Facebook Live presents a perfect solution!

I created a facebook group for my family, and then when I went to my daughter's recorder concert (so awesome right?!) at school or to my sons Lacrosse clinic, I was able to just go in to the group and broadcast live with what the kids were doing!! And not only can family watch when we're live, but if they missed it they can just log in to the group and they can see the recording because it stays there as a regular video after.

Basically I love it. It’s convenient for everyone. And it's easy. And then no one is on my back for constantly forgetting to share pics and videos ;)  So that's like my #hotmessmom tip of the day- to use Facebook live.

In case you don't know like where this Facebook live thing is (***side note*** it can ONLY be done from your phone!) or how to find it let me explain. Open your group, go to the post bar like you normally would, you click where it says "write something". Then you will see the option that says "live video". Click that, type in whatever you want to title it and go live.  Then it will count down three, two, one and then you'll be on!!

Using a group specifically for family is a great option, privacy-wise. You can make your group “secret” which means no one but members can even find the group or see the content. This is a great way to keep family in the loop without broadcasting to the whole world.

So I thought I should this little tip since it is something that I am using to allow my family to feel a bit more involved with what's going on with my kids. We have this great technology now available to us so we might as well use it for something good, right? If you try it out, let me know and let me know how it goes!!
